The staff and administration at Calvary Chapel Christian Academy believe our school is an extension to our parents' wholehearted commitment to raise their children in the Word of the Lord. (Deut. 6:6-7)

Meet the Staff

Pete Lang
Pastor of Student Ministries -
My name is Peter Lang and I have been serving as a pastor since 1995. I have been involved with Children's Ministry and elementary education since becoming a Christian in 1979. It is my desire to see that our students receive the best education and spiritual training possible. There is no investment more important than the one we make in our children.
Mrs. Curtner
Assistant School Administrator -
I graduated from Cal Baptist University with a B.A. in History and have also completed numerous graduate courses in education at that University. I have also substituted often for the Corona School District. Being a part of the church all my life I have worked with teens for about 15 years. I am so excited to take on this new experience and adventure with CCCA. I hope to inspire and encourage your children to develop a desire for learning and enjoy each day at school this year.
Mrs. Keeler
Kindergarten Teacher -
God has given me a great desire to mold these young minds to love God and also to read, write, add, and many other things. I have worked with children since I was 16 and always with the young ones. God was preparing me for this job, which I love. I have over 35 years experience with teaching this age group and still love the light in their eyes when they know an answer or how to read a word.
Mrs. Kerwin
1st / 2nd Grade Teacher -
In 1972, I graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO with an Evangelical Teacher's Training Assoc. Credential. I began teaching in 1981 and my experience has been in first through sixth grades. I graduated from CBU in Riverside, CA in 1990 with a BA in Liberal Arts and a Multiple Subject Credential. I have been teaching at CCCA since 2007. I am currently the Asst. Principal. I enjoy working with all the students and teachers to make our school a better place to learn and work.
Mrs. Lang
3rd / 4th Grade Teacher -
I have been teaching here at CCCA since 2005. I am a graduate of CA University San Bernardino with a Bachelors degree in Liberal Studies and I hold a Multiple Subject Credential for the state of CA. I have experience teaching first through fourth grades. My philosophy for teaching is that every child should have the best opportunity for success, so I strive to provide a safe and inspiring environment for children to reach their maximum potential.
Mr. Kerwin
5th / 6th Grade Teacher and Director of Education & Finances -
At 28 I was called to leave northern California and attend CBU in Riverside. I earned my BA degree in Liberal Arts and a Calif. Teaching Credential in 1990. I taught nearby until our church, Calvary Corona, started this school in 2004. I began teaching in Kindergarten and taught most grades until I reached where I am now teaching fourth, fifth and sixth grades. I enjoy this age group because they have the basics down and we can use that knowledge to explore God's world around us.
Kamie Roundy
Teacher's Aide / 1st & 2nd Grade
This is my third year at CCCA, and I'm very excited to be here. In the past I've worked with children of different ages in various groups, such as VBS, Awana, and Calvary Kids. I've served in Children's Ministry and childcare for bible studies as well as the childcare for the marriage ministry. I've worked in babysitting for the last 6 years, and I currently serve as a co-teacher in 2nd and 3rd grade on Sundays. I am very excited to be working with your kids again this year!
Mrs. Valerie
Teacher's Aide / Daycare
I have been a believer since 1991. Since 1996, I have had the opportunity to minister to God’s children from toddlers to high schoolers. I attended Calvary Chapel Christian School in Downey. I was a daycare worker there and even homeschooled my children through them. I love that I have the opportunity to help your children grow and learn how to live Christ-centered lives. “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)
